“We have a 6 lb yorkie that can’t get enough of the Flossies. We cut them in two and he spends 30 minutes or so chewing a half piece. Yorkies are nortorious for having dirty teath resulting in the need to have a vet do an annual cleaning. With the Flossies, our little guy hasn’t had to suffer this difficult task. We’re happy, and he’s happy.” — Thomas E. Wright

“I purchase Merrick Flossies regularly for my two Westies as well share them with my “dog park friends” of various sizes, breeds! I have not known one dog who refused such addicting treat! Larger breeds would normally woof this size of Flossie down in a few minutes while the smaller breeds much longer.” — J. Lew

“Our 10 month old lab could not live without her daily flossie! If we say flossie she will run straight to the box from anywhere, including outside. She eats them pretty quickly, so sometimes I put it through an everlasting treat ball (a rubber ball, with slots on both sides that you are supposed to put their biscuits in, but our dog gets them out too fast and could choke on them). They cost a lot individually at our local pet store, so it is great to be able to buy them in bulk here. Worth every penny.” — Elsie

“We have a nearly 9 year old Malamute. He has a fabulous coat of hair but was starting to get chronic skin problems. The salmon oil cured him. The results were quick (within a month). The only “special” advice I would offer is KEEP IT REFRIGERATED. Our malamute is obsessively food-centric… he will eat almost anything; but when the last of the large bottle I was storing at room temperature (mid sixties) went rancid he refused his kibble. I made the mistake of buying 4 large bottles all at once. I suggest you get them one at a time and keep it refrigerated (even though it says you can keep it at room temperature).” — Steve Ford

“I have used several commercially prepared products over the past twenty years. Grizzly Salmon oil seems to be providing the nutrients necessary for good coats on my dogs, and I have been putting two squirts into the dogs’ food daily for about six months. I have three Labrador retrievers, and all are sporting their best coats. I have used Lipiderm in the past, which also works very well. I believe that quite a few of the products marketed for improving good skin and coats are effective, and occasionally try out a new one. I don’t believe the advertisements, but prefer to read labels, look for key ingredients, and try for myself.” — Valerie Donahue

“Although the thought of pink fish oil being pumped out of a giant bottle makes my stomach turn, my old mutt does back flips for this stuff. Truly a product that could only be enjoyed by a dog. My only advice- feed the dog in the morning so the fish breath does not make you want to puke at night. Enjoy. Woof.” — N. Papagiorgio

“My dog started limping and I took him to the vet. Vet did xrays and whole 9 yards and basically said give the dog supplements and get him more exercise. I refused to use Dasuquin because of the price and opted for the cheapest thing I found at the pet store. My vet visits with xrays etc.. were really expensive and I thought, supplements are supplements. Two months later the dog limping got worst. I went back to the vet and bought these, replacing the old supplements and what do you know- two weeks later, the dog stopped limping and has been fine since. The price is outrageous, but the dogs (started giving them to the old dog now) seem to like them without the need of masking them in food and they seem to work great. I just wish I had opted for these the first time around- and I wish they were more affordable.” — Andrew

“My 70 lbs German Shepherd started limping recently. After playing outside for 30 to 60 minutes, he’d limp the rest of the day. We took him to the vet. They said he has elbow dysplasia in one elbow, but the other one is fine. He already has dysplastic hips, only one of which we were able to correct via TPO surgery a few years ago.

The vet recommended Dasuquin while discussing the diagnosis. I didn’t expect much since we all know that medicine is a voodoo science. However, I have been extremely surprised at how well this stuff works, once we got into the routine of remembering to include it with his dinner. My dog doesn’t limp anymore. Even after multiple hours of chasing things in the back yard he will be trotting fine. It’s been about three months since we started Dasuquin.

Good stuff, definitely give it a try if you’re on the fence. It really surprised me.” — Baris Canyas

“My dog is 11. I have had him on this vitamin since he is 8 years old. He hunts and does agility. No aches or pains. I used to have to give him an asprin after hunting. Since on these pills….no asprin needed. I really believe it is helping to keep his joints healthy.” — Karin G. Farina
