“I like these clickers especially inside the house as they are a little quieter than some. (I also own a Starmark clicker which is too loud inside) I purchased the 5 pack and chose the quietest one for use inside. Along with it being quieter, outside it is still loud enough unless there is a lot of background noise such as high wind or a stadium competition, but it would have to be fairly noisy since a trained dog is anticipating the click command. You really don’t need a super loud clicker under most training routines. If your dog isn’t responding to the click, you may need to reevaluate your training rountine or the dogs current abilities. “After much research, we are SO HAPPY we chose this product over the traditional in-ground fences! No worries about ruining any wires when we aerate the lawn or do our landscaping… It’s a very flexible, cost-effective solution and it works GREAT for our very feisty 2-year-old Schnauzer mix. Dog Treats are always needed when you training your dog to do some tricks. Not only that, don’t forget to always say great things or praises when your dog has done the trick very well, such as: good boy, smart girl, great, while giving the dog soft pat in the head or caress. In order to teach your dog how to “play dead”, it is recommended that you need to teach the dog some basic tricks, such as sit and lay down.

Once this is done, try saying play dead or with a finger pointing as a gun, say bang! bang!. After that, position them in a way that they are lying down on the floor on their back. Wait for a few seconds before a treat is to be given as well as some deserving praise. Some trainers also recommend to first say “play dead” when the dog is laying down on their back naturally. This will help them relate the word with what they are currently doing. This process is to be repeated frequently so that the dog will remember how to do them.
