Some customer reviews

“I received this book as a Mother’s Day gift from my sons. I train my dog for competition obedience and they thought I might like to have some “fun” things to train. The book is fantastic! There are lots of pictures and easy, step by step instructions for every trick! I love the way the tricks are categorized as being easy, intermediate, advanced and expert, there are tricks for dogs at every skill level. Also, for each trick the prerequisites are listed, some troubleshooting questions and answers and a small section called ‘Build On It’ that explains how you can build on, or improve, the featured trick! This book is a wonderful addition to my training library! You’ll love it!” — Jennifer H.

“I bought this book for my grandaughter who loves training her dog as much as I love training mine. Of course I had to read it before handing it over to her and WOW it was great. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and putting some of the tricks into practice. My grandaughter couldn’t put it down either and loves using it to teach her labrador tricks. A very clearly written and illustrated book with loads of fun personality on every page. I highly recommend it for anyone who owns a dog.” — B. J. Klupfel

“Instead of wasting a lot of ink and reader time with endless chapters of personal philosophy, the author gives you the basics, e.g., teaching fetch: slice a 1″ hole in a tennis ball with a boxcutter, put treats into tennis ball, throw tennis ball, when dog returns with tennis ball, squeeze open and remove treats. The sooner the dog returns with the ball, the sooner he gets the treat. If you’ve never trained a puppy you might want to grab a more standard and comprehensive book from the library, but if I had to choose just one dog training book (and I took about 20 out of the library!) it would be this one.” — Philip Greenspun
